Each song, beautifully sonically captured and resonant with layers of instrumentation, rewards in different ways. But all the while, Rupert's strength as an in-demand pianist shines through. Having begun playing at five years old, Rupert soon discovered jazz. He went on to study jazz at the Royal Academy of Music and then took naturally to touring and playing with artists like China Moses, Judi Jackson and Myele Manzanza.
Search Party captures a wealth of those experiences and brings together many artists he has worked with, live and in the studio, over the years. Collaborators include Chris Hyson, Mohan Evans, Soren Bryce, Yusuf Ahmed and Thom Gill.
